After 152 years, the 100 Guinea Cup, put up by Queen Victoria in 1851, has returned to Europe and for the first time in the history of the prestigious cup, the challenge to win it will take place in the Mediterranean. September 2004 marks the start of the America's Cup, a circuit of official regattas culminating in the selection of the challengers, the Luis Vuitton Cup, to decide who will face the Defender in the final matches of the America's Cup.
